here I am armed with patience, I finally decided to throw me in the post-trip (double value semantics would say!) ((comment from true nerd would say)) (((this is way you say))) ((((you have not every I say the wrong !)))). Ok fine. Oh no, the post on the journey! I'll try to do something synthetic although to be honest nn even know where to start! Follow the order:
HISTORY (triple concentration of history)
The Island of San Pietro, located in the southwest of Sardinia, and by extension the sixth Italian island.
Carlisle is the only town on the island. It was founded during the reign of Carlo Emanuele III, by a colony of Ligurian fishermen from Tabarka, an island off the coast of Tunisia. The Ligurian origin of its inhabitants can be found in the dialect, traditions, customs, and urbanism in the country especially in the food!
THE COUNTRY
The center is really a gem (no comment from architect serious ... note the professionalism?): Colored houses, balconies and squares everywhere 'tree' are the main features of the country. is very much alive and it is nice to see that cute little men intracciano wicker baskets on the street or ladies sitting on either side of the already narrow vicolini selling figs, peaches and jams .. The inhabitants speak much Genovese, and we lay the sensation is like being in a song from Andre! The area of the dock (the little short) is really impressive ... lots of boats and palm trees with names absurd ... the only problem is that the night walks to the pier give life to talk to say the least thickness, not always convenient for after-dinner digestive phase!
THE SEA / THE BEACHES
the sea of Carlisle is in the bargain
wonderful .. there is nothing to do ... The beaches are almost all concentrated in the south-east. Our favorite is definitely tadpoles, crystal clear water and small size which makes it nice and cozy. clear that in times of high tourist crowding quickly became an inferno, but that's another story. The biggest is definitely the cove, the only beach on the west side of the island and for this reason gives experiences to break point when the mistral blows! Beaches are almost all of the sand ... and then there are the basin troggiu the (natural pool at birth) with the rocks and then caulked with Sassetti ... then put the map so we take a look!
FOOD
in the food you have the greatest influences of culture in Genoa, beginning with the pesto (typical dish: the cassulli Carloforte, pasta with Genovese pesto, tomato and tuna) to wonderful focaccia Genovese stramega greasy (thanks tinker !) this year due to diet, I pretty much just smell: (
Regarding the fish dishes of all is the tuna, also known as sea pork just because you eat everything (including heart). The most tuna is good for me Dau Bobba ate at the restaurant, which need a few inches high thread that has nothing to envy to the best of Florence! I
watering just thinking about it! Another typical dish is the Cashco (couscous) influenza tabarkino .. looks are not always inviting, but do not be deterred ... is the end of the world! And then what else ... ah, yes .. i culargiones (thanks Frank). the name makes me laugh, it's true, but definitely deserve! are a sort of fig-shaped ravioli, pasta is not only that the egg and the filling is potato and cheese or goat, depending on the season. There is also a version with mint in the filling. really good. As for the desserts is a whole set of Sardinian sweets (which I do not crazy because I'm a little pesantini), macaroons and scallops, really good, which are donut-shaped biscuits covered in icing sugar and lots of colorful balls!
ANIMALS
except tuna, king of Carlisle, there are many animalocci nice to see in Carlisle. The former are undoubtedly the flamingos, who work Instan
applicability throughout the day in the salt, mixing well to shrimp .. then to come up with the hawks of the Queen, to see which was set up near an oasis of Lipu Calafate. The conspiracy theory about a guerrilla war between the island's flamingos and birds of prey for gaining the sympathy of tourists ;)...
The other animals, not so much typical of the island because of our holiday, the bunnies are coming out at night in the region of Nasca and scratch about freely in the country (hence the saying when the sun is not the rabbits scratching), the geki (jack and sons) and lizards (James Dean) who are waiting on the road that passes our car to make it through sudden and full of risk ... when we left the island was in over his head james dean for 16 to 14, but now who knows! other animals typical of the island would seem based on the latest sightings that lucky dog beagle who loves to help in washing the cars of the people born and entertain them with long races hide and seek in the evening before their departure, so devolution on the journey to the future and, if all goes right, to make him forget the tickets at home (this is the only anna understand!).
I would say that I'm done for now .... the guide is short and concise, but I hope you understand a little bit! Ah, insert Serena .... does not cost much! The parking lots of the beaches are offered free (really free), and in the country is free, food costs almost as if we do not and something less for sleeping. .. well it's free for you away!
